Walk & Knock
Clark County: Walk & Knock “It’s all about feeding the hungry.” On Dec. 6, volunteers will be collecting non-perishable foods for the annual Walk & Knock food drive. Community Share Fair
Clark County Neighbors: The Community Share Fair will be Sunday September 14, 2008 from 1:30 to 4:30 at Clark Public Utilities, 8600 NE 117th Ave (Orchards Service Center). The Share Fair gives residents a chance to donate unneeded items, learn about Clark County charities and receive receipts for tax-deductible donations. Participating charities can use appliances, baby supplies, bedding, linens, books, cell phones, clothes, eyeglasses, computers, canned food, furniture, musical instruments, personal items (diapers, toiletries), sports equipment, school supplies, tools and toys.
The fair will also include recycling stations for electronic items, athletic shoes and block foam. Last year more than 150 participants donated literally “tons” of items to help neighbors in need.
